2021.

Happy New Year. I’m not going to particularly reflect on 2020, but I do hope that everyone has a better 2021. I’m not either for or against New Years resolutions. All in all, be diligent about holding comfortable and uncomfortable goals for yourself, but be flexible about your methods. I’ve decided to list some of my goals or benchmarks for the year and some pre-thoughts. Hopefully, I can look back at the year/this post and see how things went.

OVERALL YEAR

  • Do 12 zine-like projects. I actually started this in 2020. I was pretty successful for the first 6 months of the year, but I became very unmotivated. I’m leaving it a bit open-ended after struggling to keep up with it on a monthly basis.

  • Start…and finish more creative projects. I have some yarn, clay, and miscellaneous stationery that needs my attention.

  • Reach my financial goals as a 25 year old.

  • Take at least one ARE. hahHAhA licensure, am I right?

  • Speaking of, submit my hours in a more timely manner and not just in 6-month dumps.

  • Read/listen more!

  • Incorporate more healthy activities into my lifestyle. I’m leaving this vague for the Internet, but I know my goals for my own sake.

JANUARY

  • Start new mentorship. I am lucky that my workplace offers a mentor program and that I was paired with a new person I can learn a lot from! I’m hoping to gain some newfound confidence in the workplace and learn about her experiences.

  • Push through with new professional development opportunities. I enjoyed joining a few lectures/webinars last year, so I plan on continuing that, but I also want to be more involved with differing organizations.

FEBRUARY

MARCH

  • No Spending & No YouTube for the entire month. I plan on giving up non-essential spending and watching YouTube videos for Lent. Lent this year runs from about Mid February to early April, so the entire month of March will be this sacrificial period. Hopefully I’ll save a few bucks and can focus my mind on other things, rather than spend hours on YouTube.

  • Do a major Spring cleaning overhaul. In the meanwhile, also transition to my spring/summer wardrobe.

APRIL

MAY

  • Do you think I’ll be vaccinated by then?

JUNE

  • Start the apartment search.

  • Implement Adsense to my personal website.

JULY

  • Continue the apartment search.

  • Open a credit card. You can read more about that here.

AUGUST

  • It’s the month for all things packing.

SEPTEMBER

  • Settle into my new apartment! And set up new personal and physical boundaries, as well as routines for myself.

OCTOBER

  • Maybe. Hopefully take another road trip/vacation somewhere or just revisit the Catskills

NOVEMBER

DECEMBER

  • Hopefully I would have posted at least 30 new post/articles on this website.

  • Celebrate 26.
